The work Croquis d’enfants by Claude Monet was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017. It achieved a price of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 43,066.06), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 60%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Claude Monet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Meules in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 110,747,000.00 (€ 99,333,572.52).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 60 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Croquis d’enfants von Claude Monet kam im November 2017 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 43.066,06) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 60%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Claude Monet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Meules im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 110.747.000,00 (€ 99.333.572,52).
