Auction result misses estimated price range

In November 2001 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait of a military Commander, three-quarter-length, in armour, holding a baton, his plumed helmet on a rock nearby, a cavalry battle beyond by Constantijn Netscher for GBP 2,350.00 (€ 3,739.59). This price was achieved in the auction OLD MASTER PICTURES at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Constantijn Netscher have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of A Young Hunter In A Landscape With His Dog in February 2018 with an auction result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 32,757.35).

Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

Im November 2001 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Portrait of a military Commander, three-quarter-length, in armour, holding a baton, his plumed helmet on a rock nearby, a cavalry battle beyond von Constantijn Netscher für GBP 2.350,00 (€ 3.739,59) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion OLD MASTER PICTURES bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Constantijn Netscher auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait Of A Young Hunter In A Landscape With His Dog im Februar 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 32.757,35).
