Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2011 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work Dutch little Scholars by Cornelis Raaphorst. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,500.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Cornelis Raaphorst have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Bird Cage in October 2006 with an auction result of EUR 15,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2011 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dutch little Scholars von Cornelis Raaphorst zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 3.500,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cornelis Raaphorst auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Bird Cage im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 15.600,00.
