Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Summer Landscape by Dai Xi was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2020. The price achieved of HKD 60,480.00 (€ 6,698.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dai Xi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ancient Pine in April 2018 with an auction result of HKD 2,250,000.00 (€ 237,410.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Summer Landscape von Dai Xi wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 60.480,00 (€ 6.698,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dai Xi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ancient Pine im April 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.250.000,00 (€ 237.410,97).
