Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2021 Christies held the auction Modern British and Irish ArtEvening Sale, which included the work Curved Form with Inner Form (Anima) by Barbara Hepworth. The price achieved of GBP 437,500.00 (€ 518,319.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Barbara Hepworth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Family of Man: Ancestor II in November this year with an auction result of USD 11,565,000.00 (€ 10,602,310.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Christies die Auktion Modern British and Irish ArtEvening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Curved Form with Inner Form (Anima) von Barbara Hepworth zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 437.500,00 (€ 518.319,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Barbara Hepworth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Family of Man: Ancestor II im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 11.565.000,00 (€ 10.602.310,23).
