Auction result well in line with expectations
In August last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Modern Native American Art, which included the work Unknown by Dan Namingha. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,040.00 (€ 2,026.83) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Dan Namingha have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "Kiva Dancers," 1989 in August last year with an auction result of USD 11,475.00 (€ 11,400.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Modern Native American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Unknown von Dan Namingha zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.040,00 (€ 2.026,83) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dan Namingha auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "Kiva Dancers," 1989 im August letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 11.475,00 (€ 11.400,89).
