Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
This work without title by Dana Schutz was sold in the The Philosophy of Gordon Watson: Collecting Contemporary Art, Silver and Design auction at Christies in London in November 2020. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 13,750.00 (€ 15,349.64). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dana Schutz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Elevator in December 2020 with an auction result of HKD 50,050,000.00 (€ 5,279,190.52).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Dana Schutz wurde im November 2020 in der Auktion The Philosophy of Gordon Watson: Collecting Contemporary Art, Silver and Design bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 13.750,00 (€ 15.349,64) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dana Schutz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Elevator im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 50.050.000,00 (€ 5.279.190,52).
