Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2014 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Design for an ornamental plaque depicting Aesculapius by Daniel Marot. The price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,521.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Daniel Marot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Design For An Ornamental Garden With A Central Pond With Figures Enjoying A Boat Ride And Others Fishing Beyond in January 2012 with an auction result of USD 37,500.00 (€ 28,729.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Design for an ornamental plaque depicting Aesculapius von Daniel Marot zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.521,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Daniel Marot erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Design For An Ornamental Garden With A Central Pond With Figures Enjoying A Boat Ride And Others Fishing Beyond im Januar 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 28.729,03).
