Auction result misses estimated price range
In August 2010 a collector was able to acquire the work Love-in-a-mist with flower fairies by Daphne Constance Allen for GBP 250.00 (€ 302.23). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Daphne Constance Allen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Bracken Forest in July last year with an auction result of GBP 5,292.00 (€ 6,319.59).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im August 2010 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Love-in-a-mist with flower fairies von Daphne Constance Allen für GBP 250,00 (€ 302,23) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Daphne Constance Allen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Bracken Forest im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.292,00 (€ 6.319,59).
