Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by David Altmejd was auctioned at Phillips in London in April 2018. The price achieved of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,354.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 18,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Altmejd achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The New North in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 217,250.00 (€ 269,007.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von David Altmejd kam im April 2018 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 21.354,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 18.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Altmejd erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The New North im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 217.250,00 (€ 269.007,22).
