Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work Locked In Migration, To Ryder by David Bierk for CAD 4,800.00 (€ 3,498.05). This price was achieved in the auction Important Canadian Art at Sothebys in Toronto and was even below the estimate range of CAD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by David Bierk have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Eulogy To Life, To Manet, To Gauguin in May 2012 with an auction result of CAD 26,400.00 (€ 20,630.60).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2011 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Locked In Migration, To Ryder von David Bierk für CAD 4.800,00 (€ 3.498,05) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Important Canadian Art bei Sothebys in Toronto erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von CAD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Bierk auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Eulogy To Life, To Manet, To Gauguin im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CAD 26.400,00 (€ 20.630,60).
