Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Near Galston, Ayrshire by David McLeod Martin was sold in the The Scottish Sale auction at Christies in London in May 2007. It changed hands for a price of GBP 4,800.00 (€ 7,063.52) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David McLeod Martin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Summer bouquet, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 10,200.00 (€ 15,009.99).
