Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by David Shrigley could be acquired at Christies in Paris in May 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Collection Jean-Paul Jungo auction, the work Untitled (Owl describes death of Plumber) changed hands for EUR 1,188.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Shrigley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (It's OK) in March last year with an auction result of USD 44,100.00 (€ 39,754.80).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von David Shrigley konnte im Mai 2016 bei Christies in Paris für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Collection Jean-Paul Jungo wechselte die Arbeit Untitled (Owl describes death of Plumber) für EUR 1.188,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Shrigley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (It's OK) im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 44.100,00 (€ 39.754,80).
