In June 2005 Christies in London held the auction MARITIME PICTURES AND WATERCOLOURS, which included the work A Quiet Read In The Garden by David Woodlock. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 288.00 (€ 426.83), 44% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Woodlock achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Landscape Painter in November 2005 with an auction result of GBP 4,200.00 (€ 6,170.33).

Im Juni 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion MARITIME PICTURES AND WATERCOLOURS durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Quiet Read In The Garden von David Woodlock zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 288,00 (€ 426,83) und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Woodlock erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Landscape Painter im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.200,00 (€ 6.170,33).
