Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Kamorna by Demétre Chiparus was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2010. It achieved a price of GBP 42,050.00 (€ 50,249.69), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Admittedly, works by Demétre Chiparus have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Exotic Dancer Sculpture, Circa 1920 in April 2011 with an auction result of GBP 193,250.00 (€ 217,632.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Kamorna von Demétre Chiparus kam im November 2010 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 42.050,00 (€ 50.249,69) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Demétre Chiparus auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Exotic Dancer Sculpture, Circa 1920 im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 193.250,00 (€ 217.632,80).
