Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Letter by Deng Shiru was auctioned at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 11,800.00 (€ 1,328.70) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Deng Shiru achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Seal Script Calligraphy in September 2011 with an auction result of USD 182,500.00 (€ 135,697.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Letter von Deng Shiru kam im Oktober 2018 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 11.800,00 (€ 1.328,70) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Deng Shiru erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Seal Script Calligraphy im September 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 182.500,00 (€ 135.697,82).
