In the Photographs Including Property Sold to Benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation auction, the work Lucas Samaras, N.Y.C., 1966 sold for USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,620.47) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Diane Arbus achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A box of ten photographs in May this year with an auction result of USD 1,008,000.00 (€ 946,123.52).

In der Auktion Photographs Including Property Sold to Benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation wurde die Arbeit Lucas Samaras, N.Y.C., 1966 für USD 13.750,00 (€ 12.620,47) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Diane Arbus erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A box of ten photographs im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.008.000,00 (€ 946.123,52).
