Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master Prints, which included the work Christ Walking on the Water; and The Temptation of Christ (Hollstein 4, 5) by Dirk Vellert. The price achieved of GBP 3,528.00 (€ 4,137.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dirk Vellert - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Temptation of Christ, which sold at auction in July last year for GBP 7,560.00 (€ 9,027.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master Prints durch, in der auch die Arbeit Christ Walking on the Water; and The Temptation of Christ (Hollstein 4, 5) von Dirk Vellert zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.528,00 (€ 4.137,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Dirk Vellert mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Temptation of Christ beobachtet, die im Juli letzten Jahres für GBP 7.560,00 (€ 9.027,98) versteigert wurde.
