Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work Ceiling bozzetto showing the Holy Trinity, the Guardian Angel and the Archangel Michael vanquishing Satan by Domenico Mondo. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,437.50 (€ 4,927.47) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Domenico Mondo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Triumph Of Hercules, which sold at auction in April 2013 for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,800.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ceiling bozzetto showing the Holy Trinity, the Guardian Angel and the Archangel Michael vanquishing Satan von Domenico Mondo zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.437,50 (€ 4.927,47) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Domenico Mondo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Triumph Of Hercules beobachtet, die im April 2013 für GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.800,58) versteigert wurde.
