Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Pietà by Domenico Zampieri was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2007. The price achieved of GBP 3,044,000.00 (€ 4,521,042.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500,000.00 – 3,500,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Domenico Zampieri - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Saint John the Evangelist, which sold at auction in December 2009 for GBP 9,225,250.00 (€ 10,406,406.42).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.044.000,00 (€ 4.521.042,67) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.500.000,00 – 3.500.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Domenico Zampieri mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Saint John the Evangelist beobachtet, die im Dezember 2009 für GBP 9.225.250,00 (€ 10.406.406,42) versteigert wurde.
