Auction result misses estimated price range
In August 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work View of Ferry Building with Bay Bridge in the Distance, San Francisco by Dong Kingman for USD 2,805.00 (€ 2,377.12). This price was achieved in the auction California Art at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Dong Kingman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Typhoon Shelter, Hong Kong in October 2018 with an auction result of HKD 162,500.00 (€ 18,297.74).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im August 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit View of Ferry Building with Bay Bridge in the Distance, San Francisco von Dong Kingman für USD 2.805,00 (€ 2.377,12) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion California Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dong Kingman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Typhoon Shelter, Hong Kong im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 162.500,00 (€ 18.297,74).
