The first a couplet, dated guimao (1963) and signed Dong Zuobin with two artist's seals;
The second a vertical panel, dedicated to Tang Tang, dated dingyou (1957) and signed Dong Zuobin with two artist's seals.

Auction result misses estimated price range
In June this year a collector was able to acquire the work Three Calligraphies in Oracle Bone Script, 1963 and 1957 by Dong Zuobin for USD 288.00 (€ 263.74). This price was achieved in the auction Decorative Asian Works of Art Online at Bonhams in Paris and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dong Zuobin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy Couplet In Jiaguwen in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 525,000.00 (€ 60,674.61).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Three Calligraphies in Oracle Bone Script, 1963 and 1957 von Dong Zuobin für USD 288,00 (€ 263,74) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Decorative Asian Works of Art Online bei Bonhams in Paris erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dong Zuobin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Jiaguwen im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 525.000,00 (€ 60.674,61).
