Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Prairie Spring by Douglas Van Howd for USD 3,125.00 (€ 2,746.29). This price was achieved in the auction The L.D. "Brink" Brinkman Collection Online at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Douglas Van Howd have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Running Deer in February 2019 with an auction result of USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,477.72).
