Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Implosion by Driss Ouadahi for USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,453.15). This price was achieved in the auction Middle Eastern Modern & Contemporary Art at Christies in Dubai and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Driss Ouadahi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Another Way in April 2013 with an auction result of USD 37,500.00 (€ 28,478.13).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Implosion von Driss Ouadahi für USD 5.000,00 (€ 4.453,15) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Middle Eastern Modern & Contemporary Art bei Christies in Dubai erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Driss Ouadahi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Another Way im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 28.478,13).
