Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In February 2008 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work Composition, 1959 by Edgard Pillet. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 991.00 24% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Edgard Pillet have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Interzone - 1948 in December 2021 with an auction result of EUR 8,840.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Februar 2008 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Composition, 1959 von Edgard Pillet zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 991,00 und damit 24% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edgard Pillet auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Interzone - 1948 im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.840,00.
