This artwork by Edgar Plans achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year. In the 21st Century Art Day Sale auction, the work Food Lover sold for HKD 1,134,000.00 (€ 135,893.44) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 550,000.00. Admittedly, works by Edgar Plans have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Juanín in April this year with an auction result of HKD 840,000.00 (€ 857,804.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Edgar Plans erzielte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 21st Century Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Food Lover für HKD 1.134.000,00 (€ 135.893,44) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 550.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edgar Plans auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Juanín im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 840.000,00 (€ 857.804,35).
