In October last year Christies in Paris held the auction Collections, which included the work La Sologne by Edouard Pail. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,638.00 37% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edouard Pail - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A shepherd and his flock on a hillside, which sold at auction in October 2000 for GBP 2,115.00 (€ 3,615.14).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 37 % übertroffen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Collections durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Sologne von Edouard Pail zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.638,00 und damit 37% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Edouard Pail mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A shepherd and his flock on a hillside beobachtet, die im Oktober 2000 für GBP 2.115,00 (€ 3.615,14) versteigert wurde.
