Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Femme sur un canapé marron by Édouard Vuillard was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art auction at Bonhams in New York in December last year. The price achieved of USD 25,500.00 (€ 23,836.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Édouard Vuillard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Misia et Vallotton à Villeneuve in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 17,750,000.00 (€ 14,918,473.69).
