In October 2008 Christies in Madrid held the auction Spanish Art at the Westin Palace Hotel, which included the work Gravitación by Eduardo Chillida. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 46,600.00 33% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eduardo Chillida achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rumor de Limites No. Vi in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 2,024,000.00 (€ 2,928,694.26).

Im Oktober 2008 führte Christies in Madrid die Auktion Spanish Art at the Westin Palace Hotel durch, in der auch die Arbeit Gravitación von Eduardo Chillida zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 46.600,00 und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eduardo Chillida erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rumor de Limites No. Vi im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.024.000,00 (€ 2.928.694,26).
