In October 2015 Christies in London held the auction Topographical Pictures, which included the work Rio de Janeiro by moonlight by Eduardo Frederico de Martino. The result of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 4,196.25) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Eduardo Frederico de Martino have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work L'Entente Cordiale: The Royal Yacht Victoria & Albert III reviewing the Anglo-French fleet in Cowes Road, 1905 in December 2018 with an auction result of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 41,778.33).

Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 4.196,25) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00.
