Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin America: Modern Art, which included this untitled work by Eduardo Ramírez Villamizar. The price achieved of USD 25,000.00 (€ 23,669.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eduardo Ramírez Villamizar - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Percusión roja, which sold at auction in November 2017 for USD 112,500.00 (€ 94,553.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin America: Modern Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Eduardo Ramírez Villamizar zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 23.669,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Eduardo Ramírez Villamizar mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Percusión roja beobachtet, die im November 2017 für USD 112.500,00 (€ 94.553,71) versteigert wurde.
