Auction result well in line with expectations
The work "Karikatyr: Samfundslaere, årsak og virkning" (Caricature: Social Studies, Cause and Effect" by Edvard Munch was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in June last year. It changed hands for a price of SEK 95,000.00 (€ 8,774.95) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of SEK 80,000.00 – 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edvard Munch achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Scream in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 119,922,500.00 (€ 96,993,286.96).

Die Arbeit "Karikatyr: Samfundslaere, årsak og virkning" (Caricature: Social Studies, Cause and Effect" von Edvard Munch kam im Juni letzten Jahres bei Bukowski in Stockholm zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von SEK 95.000,00 (€ 8.774,95) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 80.000,00 – 100.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edvard Munch erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Scream im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 119.922.500,00 (€ 96.993.286,96).
