Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mask composition by Egill Jacobsen was sold in the CoBrA Now auction at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 22,500.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Egill Jacobsen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in May 2011 for EUR 70,350.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mask composition von Egill Jacobsen wurde im Juni 2008 in der Auktion CoBrA Now bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 22.500,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Egill Jacobsen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für EUR 70.350,00 versteigert wurde.
