Die Arbeit Kniender weiblicher Halbakt von Egon Schiele kam im Februar 2006 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 4.152.000,00 (€ 6.106.660,63) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 66%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Egon Schiele auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Häuser Mit Bunter Wäsche (Vorstadt Ii) Houses With Laundry (Suburb Ii) im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 24.681.250,00 (€ 27.305.215,43).
