Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2008 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Daisies And Marigolds by Elliott Seabrooke. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 450.00 (€ 568.98) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Elliott Seabrooke have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Breakwaters Along The Beach in November 2005 with an auction result of GBP 3,120.00 (€ 4,583.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Daisies And Marigolds von Elliott Seabrooke zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 450,00 (€ 568,98) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Elliott Seabrooke auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Breakwaters Along The Beach im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.120,00 (€ 4.583,67).
