This artwork by Emil Cardinaux achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in January 2012. In the The Ski Sale Including a Private Collection of Swiss Posters auction, the work Davos sold for GBP 21,250.00 (€ 25,647.17) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Emil Cardinaux; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Palace Hotel, St. Moritz sold at auction in January 2012 with the realized price of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 30,173.14).

In der Auktion The Ski Sale Including a Private Collection of Swiss Posters wurde die Arbeit Davos für GBP 21.250,00 (€ 25.647,17) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Emil Cardinaux; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Palace Hotel, St. Moritz im Januar 2012 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 30.173,14).
