Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Bildnis eines jungen Südseeinsulaners (en face) by Emil Nolde was sold in the The Robin and Rupert Hambro Collection auction at Christies in London in June this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 40,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 44,100.00 (€ 51,324.81). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emil Nolde achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Herbstmeer XVI in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 7,344,500.00 (€ 6,305,915.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Bildnis eines jungen Südseeinsulaners (en face) von Emil Nolde wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion The Robin and Rupert Hambro Collection bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 40.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 44.100,00 (€ 51.324,81) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emil Nolde erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Herbstmeer XVI im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.344.500,00 (€ 6.305.915,69).
