In June 2017 Christies in London held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art: Online, which included the work Le Cauchemar by Émile Chambon. The auction ended at the price of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 22,776.27), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 14,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Émile Chambon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work L'indiscret, which sold at auction in March 2017 for GBP 65,000.00 (€ 76,173.58).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Juni 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art: Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Cauchemar von Émile Chambon zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 22.776,27) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 14.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Émile Chambon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit L'indiscret beobachtet, die im März 2017 für GBP 65.000,00 (€ 76.173,58) versteigert wurde.
