In May 2014 Phillips in New York held the auction Latin America, which included the work Músicos by Emiliano di Cavalcanti. The result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 10,997.07) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emiliano di Cavalcanti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Reclining Nude With Fish And Fruit in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 1,575,000.00 (€ 1,323,751.89).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2014 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Latin America durch, in der auch die Arbeit Músicos von Emiliano di Cavalcanti zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 10.997,07) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emiliano di Cavalcanti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Reclining Nude With Fish And Fruit im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.575.000,00 (€ 1.323.751,89).
