Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Venice, 1937-39 by Eric Wilson was auctioned at Bonhams in Sydney / Melbourne in August 2021. The price achieved of AUD 1,845.00 (€ 1,563.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eric Wilson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paris, 1940s in April 2021 with an auction result of AUD 61,500.00 (€ 51,122.19).

Die Arbeit Venice, 1937-39 von Eric Wilson kam im August 2021 bei Bonhams in Sydney / Melbourne zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 1.845,00 (€ 1.563,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eric Wilson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paris, 1940s im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 61.500,00 (€ 51.122,19).
