In November 2015 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Reconnaissance by Ernest Crofts. The result of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 2,136.53) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ernest Crofts achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Whitehall: January 30th, 1649 in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 47,800.00 (€ 69,786.49).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im November 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Reconnaissance von Ernest Crofts zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 2.136,53) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ernest Crofts erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Whitehall: January 30th, 1649 im Februar 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 47.800,00 (€ 69.786,49).
