It achieved a price of EUR 4,986.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 66 %. Admittedly, works by Ernest Pignon-Ernest have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work David Et Goliath, 1990 in February 2014 with an auction result of EUR 26,000.00.

Die Arbeit Etude pour l'avortement - 1976 von Ernest Pignon-Ernest kam im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Artcurial in Paris zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 4.986,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 66 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ernest Pignon-Ernest auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit David Et Goliath, 1990 im Februar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 26.000,00.
