Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March last year Sothebys in Paris held the auction Living Contemporary, which included this untitled work by Ernest Pignon-Ernest. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,528.00 18% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Ernest Pignon-Ernest have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work David Et Goliath, 1990 in February 2014 with an auction result of EUR 26,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Living Contemporary durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Ernest Pignon-Ernest zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 3.528,00 und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ernest Pignon-Ernest auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit David Et Goliath, 1990 im Februar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 26.000,00.
