Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2014 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work The glass slipper by Errol John Le Cain. The price achieved of GBP 687.50 (€ 844.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by Errol John Le Cain have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Santa's last ride in December 2001 with an auction result of GBP 3,290.00 (€ 5,375.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit The glass slipper von Errol John Le Cain zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 687,50 (€ 844,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Errol John Le Cain auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Santa's last ride im Dezember 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.290,00 (€ 5.375,40).
