Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Le Mariage Rompu by Étienne Aubry was sold in the Old Master Paintings & Sculpture Part II auction at Christies in New York in January 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 43,750.00 (€ 38,751.11) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Étienne Aubry have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'La Turque', presumed portrait of Mademoiselle Duthé (1748-1830), mistress of the Comte d'Artois, full-length, reclining on an 'ottomane' in October 2018 with an auction result of USD 187,500.00 (€ 165,460.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Le Mariage Rompu von Étienne Aubry wurde im Januar 2015 in der Auktion Old Master Paintings & Sculpture Part II bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 38.751,11) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
