Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2012 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work The Slave Market by Eugène Ansen-Hofmann. The price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,554.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eugène Ansen-Hofmann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chechen Abduction in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 14,400.00 (€ 21,368.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Slave Market von Eugène Ansen-Hofmann zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.554,16) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eugène Ansen-Hofmann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Chechen Abduction im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 14.400,00 (€ 21.368,88).
