Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Austrian ninetta by Eugen von Blaas was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 500,000.00 – 700,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 437,000.00 (€ 336,464.43). Other works by Eugen von Blaas have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in February 2019 by the work A Maiden With A Basket Of Roses at USD 615,000.00 (€ 540,469.29).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Austrian ninetta von Eugen von Blaas im Mai 2013 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 500.000,00 – 700.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 437.000,00 (€ 336.464,43) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Eugen von Blaas wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Februar 2019 die Arbeit A Maiden With A Basket Of Roses mit USD 615.000,00 (€ 540.469,29).
