A top price for Eugène de Baugnies - as previously expected
In April 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction The Orientalist Sale, which included the work French the Dhikr by Eugène de Baugnies. The price achieved of GBP 100,000.00 (€ 118,751.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, French the Dhikr is the most expensive artwork by Eugène de Baugnies that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im April 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Orientalist Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit French the Dhikr von Eugène de Baugnies zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 100.000,00 (€ 118.751,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist French the Dhikr das teuerste Kunstwerk von Eugène de Baugnies, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
