Auction result well in line with expectations
The work French ossaloises by Eugene Deveria was sold in the Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art auction at Sothebys in New York in February 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,125.00 (€ 6,653.84) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Eugene Deveria have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Reluctant Scholars- Portraits of Mr. G. Barber's Sons in October 2016 with an auction result of USD 52,500.00 (€ 47,892.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit French ossaloises von Eugene Deveria wurde im Februar 2018 in der Auktion Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 6.653,84) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eugene Deveria auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Reluctant Scholars- Portraits of Mr. G. Barber's Sons im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 47.892,72).
