Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work The Marketplace by Ezelino Briante for USD 1,920.00 (€ 1,628.50). This price was achieved in the auction THE HOUSE SALE at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ezelino Briante - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Venezia, vele in laguna, which sold at auction in December 2001 for ITL 7,105,000.00 (€ 6,385.80).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2005 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Marketplace von Ezelino Briante für USD 1.920,00 (€ 1.628,50) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion THE HOUSE SALE bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ezelino Briante mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Venezia, vele in laguna beobachtet, die im Dezember 2001 für ITL 7.105.000,00 (€ 6.385,80) versteigert wurde.
